Joining

Fife Opera welcomes members of all voice types and all ages and has a healthy and encouraging number of younger people in the Society.

Membership fees are very reasonable and half price for the first year.

Rehearsing

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings in Kirkcaldy from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m and take place in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Townsend Place. As performance time comes closer principals often rehearse on Sunday afternoons and the whole company on Sunday evenings. We rehearse from March onwards, stopping during school holiday time.

Performances

Our annual production, usually 4 performances, is fully staged with orchestral accompaniment and takes place in the Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy in the first or second week in November.

Additionally, we give a fund-rasing concert at Christmas time with a wide ranging mixture of opera, Christmas music and popular pieces.

Recently, we have also taken on engagements for small groups to give performances in the community.
